Degen Foundation provides ACHE grant for research
The Degen Board of Directors is pleased to announce that United Way of Fort Smith Area has been approved to be a “Supported Agency” of The Degen Foundation along with the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE). The partnership’s intent is to provide greater access to funding for programs or initiatives that agencies of the United Way may have that fit the mission of The Degen Foundation.
Examples of programs or projects that may be eligible to receive funding:
- Purchase of medical equipment, including installation costs
- Special projects that are medically related
- Medical education programs
- Mental health programs, including consulting
The time for organizations to apply for grants is October 1 through March 31st with grants distributed in July.
Class of '26 and '27
The Degen Foundation welcomed the ACHE OT/PT Classes of 2026 with gifts of Under Armour Jackets emblazoned with ACHE and Degen logos at the New Student Orientation held on May 15, 2023.
The Foundation also presented the ARCOM DO Class of 2027 with gifts of Nike backpacks and Camelbak water bottles at the New Student Orientation event held July 17, 2023.
2022 Inaugural Class
Our chairperson provided a wonderful presentation of the history of The Degen Foundation to the 2022 Inaugural Class of the OT program. The students also enjoyed receiving their diagnostic kits from us.
